MÃœHLE's Sustainable Shaving Journey
In 2021, MÜHLE launched the first safety razor with the needs of all users in mind, regardless of gender. This journey began in 1945 when Otto Johannes Müller founded the business after returning from the war, making the first shaving brushes and designing the MÜHLE signet.
In 1965, Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which had grown to 40 employees, and MÜHLE was exporting its products to 36 countries. However, in 1972, under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller sold the company, and MÜHLE became a state-owned enterprise. In 1987, the business was rebranded and only manufactured brushes for the state, with Hans-Jürgen Müller becoming a self-employed brush maker.
The tides turned in 1990 when a new Europe evolved, and Hans-Jürgen Müller regained the family business, trading as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, with the MÜHLE signet remaining. In 1995, MÜHLE struggled to survive after reunification, but little by little, the company won new customers and rehired former employees. The dawn of the new millennium in 2006 saw the offering expanded to a full range of wet shaving goods, with the MÜHLE brand coming to the fore.
MÃœHLE TRADITIONAL Safety Razor
The MÃœHLE TRADITIONAL safety razor provides a peerless quality and longevity, with a closed comb design that offers a close yet mild wet shave. This double-edge safety razor is ideal for experts and those who want to become experts, as it exfoliates the skin and limits razor irritation, while being a plastic-free shaving solution that is kind to the environment.
MÃœHLE Shaving Culture
For over 75 years, MÃœHLE has designed, developed, and manufactured the finest quality shaving products from family-owned premises in historic Saxony, northern Germany. Today, MÃœHLE razors, brushes, and accessories are used by shaving enthusiasts worldwide. During 1945, the MÃœHLE Shaving Culture was born, and for three generations, a skilled workforce has handcrafted the finest shaving tools for discerning gentlemen who demand the best wet shaving experience.
Choosing Your Shaving Style
Your choice of razor falls into three types of blade category: Gillette Mach3 multi-blade, Gillette Fusion multi-blade, and the double-edge safety razor favored by shaving enthusiasts and eco-conscious wet shavers.
The Centerpiece of Wet Shaving
For the most comfortable wet shave, you must first soften your beard using a shaving brush and lather. MÃœHLE has manufactured the finest shaving brushes, offering a wide range of ergonomic handles in both traditional and modern designs, with a choice of the most moisture-absorbent natural badger hair or the latest man-made synthetic fiber brushes.
Caring for Your Shaving Gear
To increase the longevity of your razor and shaving brush, Mühle offers a range of stylish chrome-plated shaving stands to rinse and dry your equipment after each use.
